Where to next
There’s such a big world out there which makes it so difficult to decide where to travel to next.
I will be travelling to Brisbane in three and a half weeks, which is the only trip currently booked in and is something small to be excited about. Although, it’s a work trip for training, I am still counting it as a holiday.
When it comes to leisure, there are so many countries and cities to choose from – both ones I’ve never travelled to and others I love and could return to on endless occasions.
On top of my list (I think) is Vietnam, which is two flights and approximately 10 hours flying time from Perth. What interests me the most about Vietnam is the culture, history and food. I would like to do a tour encompassing Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
South America is another big one on my list but there is just so much to cover and so little time. In my new job we are restricted to two to three weeks leave at a time. On top of my list for South America are Machu Picchu in Peru, the Amazon jungle in Ecuador, Buenos Aires and Iguassu Falls in Argentina and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
I also want to see more of Canada. To date, I’ve visited Toronto and Niagara but I would love to visit Quebec City, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. I am waiting for an announcement from a friend about a special occasion to return to Canada though.
I’m also interested in experiencing a cruise soon around south-east Asia. There are a couple of options exiting my home port of Fremantle to Singapore which I am considering.
I would also love to go to Europe for my 30th. However, as I have been to Europe three times already, I feel that I need to experience more of the other destinations on my list that I haven’t travelled to first. But you never know…
On top of my list for Europe are Santorini, Mykonos, St Tropez, Sicily, Lisbon, London and Turkey.
So much to think about and so much to start planning. You would think working in the travel industry now, it would be easy to plan holidays but I’m so busy during the day planning customer holidays that I don’t have time for my own. It’s time to work on that.
