Wandering again

I have some exciting news this week… I’m finally going on another Lady WanderLuxe adventure! This time to Vietnam in south-east Asia.

I’m generally the type to book holidays months in advance but in this case I had enough of not wandering anywhere outside of the state for almost a year since the USA so I made the quick decision to make the most of an upcoming public holiday and booked my long awaited trip to Vietnam.

So where is my trip taking me?

I opted to do a Topdeck tour so that I can see all the main cities and towns in a short period of time. I also wanted to experience the tour company as part of my travel consulting job and let’s be honest it’s only six weeks away, that’s no where near enough time for me to do my research on accommodation, transport and sightseeing. You’d think being a travel consultant, I would have time to research my own holidays, but no.

The tour starts in Ho Chi Minh City where we will experience the history, culture and food of this bustling city. It continues to Mekong Delta for a local homestay, then to coastal areas Nha Trang, Hoi An, Hue and Halong Bay before ending in Hanoi.

It will be my first trip to Vietnam so I am really looking forward to seeing and doing as much as possible and meeting new friends along the way, which is a bonus of being on a tour. The odd bit of partying and shopping will be OK too.

Another thing that will be new is my passport. After nine years of wonderful travelling memories it’s time to say goodbye to the book with so many stamps. Here’s to hoping my next one gets just as many, if not more!
