Turning 30

Last Friday I turned 30 and it wasn’t all so bad.

I started the day with breakfast at Secondeli with my mum and nephew Luca. I stuck to what I know and tried their take on smashed avocado which came with cherry tomatoes, feta, spinach, basil and seeds on black bread. I really enjoyed it!

Then it was time for some grooming to prepare for the night ahead. I had already had my hair coloured earlier in the week and now it was time for a style. I had it curled which turned out amazing and held the whole night. Then my bestie Ivanna and I enjoyed a mani and pedi.

The afternoon was spent helping my sister finish off my amazing birthday cake and cupcakes.

That night I celebrated my birthday in a private room at Malt Supper Club. It was everything I wanted it to be with good music and lots of dancing. Everyone one seemed to have a good night as well which I loved.

On Saturday after a morning of recovery I visited my grandparents with my birthday cake. We only ate the cupcakes on Friday night as the gold colour on the cake wasn’t actually edible and it was too hard to explain. It would have also been a pain to cut it up and have plates and cutlery for everyone. Cupcakes were so much more convenient.

On Sunday we finished my birthday weekend of celebrations with lunch at my favourite French restaurant in Perth – Bistro Guillaume at Crown Perth – with my godparents. I have always been very spoilt by them and this year was no exception. After lunch we enjoyed a bit of gambling but no lucky roulette for me this time.

Lunch at Bistro Guillaume

Next week I will share with you my lunch at Bistro Guillaume.
