High tea planner
My brother and his fiance are getting married next year and the bridesmaids decided what better way to have a catch up than over high tea.
We went to Bites By D in Mount Hawthorn and enjoyed a modern mix of savoury and sweet delights. The table was very luxe with silver and gold decor.
I chose the Perth breakfast tea which was very easy to drink and worked well with the high tea flavours.
On our savoury plate we had winter broccoli salad with chicken, hazelnut and spring onion; steak pie with gravy; continental croissant with prosciutto, cheese and roasted capsicums; and a vegetable tart. I’m such a salad person so that was my favourite on this plate.
Between savoury and sweet there was a raspberry sorbet to cleanse the palate.
The sweet plate was themed pink and white for spring. There was white chocolate pannacotta; raspberry and white chocolate eclair; raspberry and vanilla mousse cake; and white chocolate raspberry bliss. Mmmm delish! The winner for me was the pannacotta.
Surprisingly we managed to go and try on bridesmaid dresses after all this!
On Sunday I’m off to Abu Dhabi for a week which I’m super excited about. I will post a travel diary about everything I got up to on my famil when I get back.
