Cheers to the new year
Happy New Year everyone! As they say, time flies when you’re having fun, and that’s always the case over the festive season. So what have I been up to over the break?
I was in a constant food coma with all the Christmas events, Boxing Day barbecues, New Years Eve soirees, birthdays and general last minute end of year catch ups. Christmas in Perth is always hot, but on the plus side we got to enjoy dinner under the stars.
I was quite spoilt this Christmas. I got a Nikon DSLR, which I’ve been studying all the features of, as well as clothes, money, kitchen appliances and homewares.
I checked out the Boxing Day sales but I must admit I should have gone into the city instead of sticking to the burbs as the sales weren’t that great at the centre.
I enjoyed swimming at the beach, fish and chips seaside and watching amazing sunsets over our never ending coastline.
We spent New Year’s Eve at the Raffles Hotel in Perth at their Midnight Soiree event. It was lacking entertainment, but the view was great.
So what’s in sight for this year?
More wandering of course. I can’t believe it’s been seven months since America and it seems becoming a travel consultant has made it even more difficult to decide where to travel to next as there is so much choice.
I am hoping this year will get me to Vietnam, California, Bali and Melbourne. If California doesn’t work out, perhaps even South America for somewhere new.
I would like to improve my blog, to bring you more travel posts and insights into my life. If any of my lovely readers would like to contribute, please make contact.
I would like to slow down my day to day life so that each day, week, month and the year feels longer. I want to take more time out for me as well as family and friends.
And I want to focus on my career as a travel consultant and keep building up my network.
I wish all my family, friends and followers a happy, healthy and exciting new year.
