Last weekend I took a last minute work trip to Newcastle.
Last week I enjoyed lunch at new beach side cafe Odyssea in the Perth suburb of City Beach.
In these days of cheap airfares and budget-priced package deals, it is all too tempting to jump on a plane and head off to a foreign destination, but as the world grows a more unpredictable and unstable place to explore, the allure of packing up the car and heading a few of hours from home is becoming more appealing.
I’ve never been a camper so when I was sent a Facebook invite by my cousin to go camping for New Year’s it was at the bottom of my list. As the days went on the idea warmed to me and I found myself camping on Ledge Point beach, approximately an hour an a half drive from Perth, on New Year’s Eve.
With my brother finally picking up his new 4WD and a friend, Marica, visiting from Italy, we decided to take the car for its first off road test and visit the Pinnacles – somewhere none of us had been before.
